Description

Pewter, considered by many to be more beautiful than silver (and far easier to maintain), has been used in creating decorative, ceremonial and household pieces for three thousand years. Italian pewter was produced in Tuscany before being halted in the first century. During the Dark and Middle Ages pewter was enjoyed exclusively by clergy and royalty before seeing a resurgence during the Renaissance. As the art of casting improved in the subsequent centuries, beautiful and sophisticated and pewter pieces became more and more coveted.
Roma is one of our oldest collections and offers seven of our most popular pewter pieces for both their decorative and functional uses.
