Paraggi Jacquard by Dea Linens
The Paraggi Collection’s distinctive element is its very elegant, highquality fabric. This piece-dyed 600-TC jacquard was made using the finest long-fiber Egyptian cotton. Because of its complex construction, jacquard fabric is the height of textile arts. The motif is woven directly into the fabric instead of being drawn or printed on it. With this particular process, exquisite designs can be created, and graceful, harmonious stories told through its warp and weft. The former is the base, a set of parallel threads arranged longitudinally, while the latter, the weft, is the thread inserted several times into the threads forming the warp to build the weave, namely, the actual design. This extraordinarily complex and detailed procedure used for the Paraggi series allows a high-quality fabric such as 600-TC Egyptian cotton to become an even more valuable fabric. Consequently, the design is in the material directly without using color, giving the appearance of a thousand points of light with alternating reflections between the glossy and opaque long-fiber parts. The fabric is double-twisted, i.e., with both the warp and the weft yarns. Each is made up of two threads twisted together. In this way, the material becomes a very dense weave, even more resistant and long-lasting, as well as softer and easier to iron because it is crease- and wrinkle-resistant.
