The Fontainebleau bedding is named for the very famous Château de Fontainebleau in France. The appliquéd banding on the bedding was inspired by the well known windows of the French palace. With a history of 900 years, the palace has been the home to French kings and even Napoleon I and Napoleon II. Today the 1,500 room Fontainebleau palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Crisp white percale bedding is expertly embellished with appliquéd banding. The banding is in Fusain, a silvery-black fossilized charcoal color. The Fusain colour, against the pure white, is very eye-catching and modern.
Fontainebleau flat sheets have the appliquéd banding at the top edge.
Fontainebleau fitted sheets are in the plain white percale bedding.
Fontainebleau duvet covers have a very high style layout of the appliquéd banded lines on the front side. Appliqué means that the fussian colored bands are expertly sewn atop the white fabric.
